Agreement in principle on the Social Security Agreement between Japan and the Republic of Poland
1. The Government of Japan and the Government of the Republic of Poland reached an agreement in principle on the Social Security Agreement between Japan and the Republic of Poland at the second round of the negotiations held from September 9-13 in Tokyo. Both sides will continue to work on necessary procedures such as finalizing all the terms in the Agreement, aiming for early signing.
2. Employees sent from Japan to the Republic of Poland as well as those sent from the Republic of Poland to Japan are currently obliged to enroll in the social security systems of both countries.
3. It is expected that the conclusion of this Agreement will solve the issues such as dual coverage, thereby further facilitating human and economic exchanges between Japan and the Republic of Poland.
