MHLW Releases the White Paper on Strengthening Japan’s Healthcare Startup Ecosystem

　The Project Team on Healthcare Startup Acceleration, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Japan (Team Leader: Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, Akihisa Shiozaki), was established on February 5, 2024 to consider promotion and support measures for startups in the healthcare sector. The Project Team, together with experts active at the forefront of various fields, has been engaged in discussions aimed at exploring such policy measures, taking into account the unique characteristics of each of the sub-markets in the healthcare sector.
Today, we are pleased to announce that the Project Team released the English translation of the White Paper, which consists of its twenty-five policy recommendations particularly important for promoting and supporting healthcare startups, along with a timetable for their implementation.
