Results of supervision/instructions to employers of decontamination works

The Fukushima Prefectural Labour Bureau (Director: Tomonori Kawai) has compiled the results of supervision/instructions to employers of decontamination works as below.

Overview of results of supervision/instructions (July-December 2013)

Labour Standards Inspection Offices within the prefecture implemented supervision and instructions to 660 employers.
Among them, as some sort of violations of labour standards laws and regulations were found for 446 employers (violation ratio 67.6%), the said offices implemented recommendations for correction to them.
The number of violation cases was 1,105, and lots of violations were found in connection with the payment of increased wages, preparation of payroll books, preliminary survey, use of protective equipment and the like.

Supervisions and instructions were implemented to 1, 047 employers during the one year period of 2013, and among them, violations of labour standards laws and regulations were found for 709 employers (violation ratio 67.7%), and the number of violation cases was 1,784.

The Fukushima Prefectural Labour Bureau will continue to implement supervision and instructions strictly to employers engaged in decontamination works.
