III. Collection, analysis, and supply of information on labor conditions from other countries and publicity activities overseas

In order to carry our international labor administration in an accurate and constructive manner, we collect, analyze and provide information on trends in the labor situation and labor policy of foreign countries. This information is made available both inside and outside the Ministry in the form of the "White Paper on Labour Overseas."
Also, in order for Japan to maintain friendly relations with other countries, we are conducting studies on how labor conditions in Japan are perceived abroad, while conducting overseas public relations activities to promote an understanding of the labor situation in Japan. These activities include producing and distributing various English language materials, providing labor-administration-related information on the Internet and other overseas publicity activities that immediately respond to international queries.
