OECD Health Ministerial Meeting
Since 2004, OECD has, in general, held the Meeting of Health Ministers every 5 years. The latest October 2010 Meeting, attended by many ministerial-level representatives of Member Countries, took place on the theme of “Health System Priorities in the Aftermath of the Crisis.” The following were agreed at the Meeting: Efficient utilization of resources was important in order to improve the quality of health care and population health. Therefore, efficient performance and the structural reform needed for the quality of care should not be neglected. As for chronic disease, in particular measures against obesity, unified measures of the government, industry, and the public are essential.
