Why do we have to bear the burden?
- The aim of the proposed social security reform is, in addition to adapting the system to the aging society, transforming social security into a system that considers all the generations by enhancing support for our children’s and grandchildren’s generations and the working generations.
- To achieve this, the government plans to expand the allocation of the consumption tax revenue, which is a major source of financing for social security, to the four costs of social security, including child-raising, from the current three costs for the elderly.
