* To eliminate the influence of changing the benchmark, the year-on-year comparisons (wages, hours worked and rate of part-time employees) for 2024 are calculated by comparing the 2024 indices with “reference indices” for 2023 calculated if the benchmark had been changed in 2023, and thus the year-on-year comparisons for 2024 do not match the year-on-year comparisons calculated by comparing with the published indices for 2023.
