1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in July 2007 were 387,373 yen decreased by 1.7% compared with a year earlier.

Contractual cash earnings were 269,810 yen same as the same month of previous year and scheduled cash earnings were 250,474 yen same as the same month of previous year.

Real wage index was decreased by 1.6%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in July 2007 were 153.6 hours same as the same month of previous year.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 16.5 hours decreased by 1.1% and its seasonally adjusted figure was same as the previous month.

3 Employment

Regular employees in July 2007 were increased by 1.7% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 0.8%, part-time employees were increased by 4.3%.
