1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in September 2006 were 276,818 yen increased by 0.1%.

Contractual cash earnings were 272,297 yen same as the same month of the previous year and scheduled cash earnings were 252,988 yen decreased by 0.2%.

Real wage index was decreased by 1.1%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in September 2006 were 151.7 hours increased by 0.4%.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 16.7 hours increased by 5.7% and its seasonally adjusted figure was increased by 0.3% from the previous month.

3 Employment

Regular employees in September 2006 were increased by 1.4% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 1.4%, part-time employees were increased by 1.5%.
