1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in June 2006 were 474,541 yen increased by 1.0%.

Contractual cash earnings were 273,979 yen same as the same month of the previous year and scheduled cash earnings were 254,618 yen decreased by 0.1%.

Real wage index was decreased by 0.1%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in June 2006 were 157.0 hours increased by 0.3%.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 16.2 hours increased by 3.2% and its seasonally adjusted figure was increased by 0.7% from the previous month.

3 Employment

Regular employees in June 2006 were increased by 1.0% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 0.9%, part-time employees were increased by 1.4%.
