1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in December 2005 were 614,383 yen increased by 1.6%.

Contractual cash earnings were 274,770 yen increased by 0.7% and scheduled cash earnings were 254,405 yen increased by 0.5%.

Real wage index was increased by 2.1%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in December 2005 were 151.7 hours increased by 0.2%.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 16.8 hours increased by 3.1% and its seasonally adjusted figure increased by 1.1% from the previous month.

3 Employment

Regular employees in December 2005 were increased by 0.5% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 0.9%, part-time employees were decreased by 0.6%.
