1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in February 2005 were 274,826 yen increased by 0.1%.

Contractual cash earnings were 271,336 yen decreased by 0.1% and scheduled cash earnings were 252,152 yen decreased by 0.2%.

Real wage index was increased by 0.5%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in February 2005 were 147.2 hours decreased by 1.7%.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 15.9 hours decreased by 1.2% and its seasonally adjusted figure decreased by 1.8% from the previous month.

3 Employment

Regular employees in February 2005 were increased by 0.6% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 0.2%, part-time employees were increased by 1.7%.
