Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in May 2000 were 286,992 yen increased by 0.7% compared with a year earlier .TBL-1 TBL-T-1
Contractual cash earnings were 281,774 yen increased by 0.9% and scheduled cash earnings were 263,688 yen increased by 0.6%.
Real wage index was increased by 1.6%.
Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in May 2000 were 148.0 hours increased by 1.5% compared with a year earlier.TBL-2 TBL-T-2
Scheduled hours worked were 138.6 hours increased by 1.4%.
Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 12.7 hours increased by12.4% and its seasonally adjusted figure was increased by 0.7% from the previous month.

Regular employees of major industries were as follows:decreased by 1.7% in Manufacturing, decreased by 1.4% in Wholesale and Retail Trade, Eating and Drinking Places, and increased by 1.9% in Services.
