- (16) Spinach and its processed products produced in China (Chlorpyrifos, Dieldrin (including Aldrin) and Endrin)
- 1. “Certificate of food sanitation”, which is indicated in Appendix 2, issued by the Chinese government must be attached.
- 2. The document reporting “the process of frozen spinach production”, which is indicated in Appendix 2 and shall be submitted by the importer, must allow examining that:
- a. The manufacturers indicated in Schedule 13(1) only used the spinach harvested in the farm directly supervised by them, and conducted inspection of agricultural chemicals such as chlorpyrifos in their own facility.
- b. The results of the chemical inspections performed on the spinach before harvesting, the intermediate product and the final product meet the trace-standard of agricultural chemical for spinach in Japan.
- c. The product was harvested and processed on and after November 2003, when the new preventive measurement was enforced in China to reduce agricultural chemicals left on produce.
- 3. Limited to frozen spinach processed by the manufacturers stipulated in Schedule 13(1).
- (17) Spinach and its processed products produced in China (Dieldrin (including Aldrin) and Endrin)
- 1. “Certificate of food sanitation”, which is indicated in Appendix 2, issued by the Chinese government must be attached.
- 2. The document reporting “the process of frozen spinach production”, which is indicated in Appendix 2 and shall be submitted by the importer, must allow examining that:
- a. The manufacturers indicated in Schedule 13(2) only used the spinach harvested in the farms directly supervised by them, and conducted inspection of agricultural chemicals such as chlorpyrifos in their own facility.
- b. The results of the chemical inspections performed on the spinach before harvesting, the intermediate product and the final product meet the trace-standard of agricultural chemical for spinach in Japan.

- b. The results of the chemical inspections performed on the spinach before harvesting, the intermediate product and the final product meet the trace-standard of agricultural chemical for spinach in Japan.
- 3. Limited to the manufacturers stipulated in Schedule 14(1).
