1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in October 2007 were 275,441 yen same as the same month of the previous year.

Contractual cash earnings were 270,629 yen decreased by 0.3% and scheduled cash earnings were 250,668 yen decreased by 0.3%.

Real wage index was decreased by 0.1%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in October 2007 were 152.2 hours decreased by 0.6% compared with a year earlier.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 17.0 hours decreased by 0.6% and its seasonally adjusted figure was increased by 0.7%.

3 Employment

Regular employees in October 2007 were increased by 1.7% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 1.0%, part-time employees were increased by 4.0%.
