1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in September 2007 were 273,144 yen decreased by 0.5%.

Contractual cash earnings were 269,010 yen decreased by 0.3% and scheduled cash earnings were 249,607 yen decreased by 0.4%.

Real wage index was decreased by 0.4%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in September 2007 were 149.0 hours decreased by 2.3% compared with a year earlier.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 16.5 hours decreased by 1.7% and its seasonally adjusted figure was increased by 0.5%.

3 Employment

Regular employees in September 2007 were increased by 1.6% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 0.8%, part-time employees were increased by 3.6%.
