1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in March 2007 were 281,922 yen decreased by 0.1%.

Contractual cash earnings were 269,174 yen decreased by 0.7% and scheduled cash earnings were 249,256 yen decreased by 0.7%.

Real wage index was decreased by 0.1%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in March 2007 were 151.0 hours decreased by 1.4%.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 17.2 hours increased by 0.7% and its seasonally adjusted figure was decreased by 0.9% from the previous month.

3 Employment

Regular employees in March 2007 were increased by 1.5% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 0.9%, part-time employees were increased by 3.2%.
