1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in March 2006 were 284,724 yen increased by 0.4%.

Contractual cash earnings were 273,502 yen increased by 0.3% and scheduled cash earnings were 253,435 yen increased by 0.1%.

Real wage index was increased by 0.2%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in March 2006 were 152.4 hours increased by 0.6%.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 17.0 hours increased by 4.3% and its seasonally adjusted figure was decreased by 0.3% from the previous month.

3 Employment

Regular employees in March 2006 were increased by 0.7% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 0.3%, part-time employees were increased by 1.3%.
