1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in February 2006 were 276,018 yen increased by 0.4%.

Contractual cash earnings were 271,613 yen increased by 0.1% and scheduled cash earnings were 252,038 yen decreased by 0.1%.

Real wage index was same as the same month of the previous year.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in February 2006 were 149.9 hours increased by 1.9%.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 16.7 hours increased by 5.0% and its seasonally adjusted figure was decreased by 0.2% from the previous month.

3 Employment

Regular employees in February 2006 were increased by 0.5% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 0.4%, part-time employees were increased by 0.9%.
