1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in July 2005 were 396,482 yen increased by 1.3%.

Contractual cash earnings were 272,542 yen increased by 0.2% and scheduled cash earnings were 253,435 yen increased by 0.1%.

Real wage index was increased by 1.6%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in July 2005 were 152.8 hours decreased by 1.5%.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 15.8 hours same as the same month of the previous year and its seasonally adjusted figure decreased by 0.9% from the previous month.

3 Employment

Regular employees in July 2005 were increased by 0.5% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 0.4%, part-time employees were increased by 0.8%.
