Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in August 2000 were 315,901 yen increased by 1.0% compared with a year earlier .TBL-1 TBL-T-1
Contractual cash earnings were 283,094 yen increased by 1.1% and scheduled cash earnings were 264,861 yen increased by 0.7%.
Real wage index was increased by 2.0%.
Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in August 2000 were 149.8 hours same as the same month of the previous year.TBL-2 TBL-T-2
Scheduled hours worked were 140.4 hours decreased by 0.1%.
Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 13.2 hours increased by 12.8% and its seasonally adjusted figure was increased by 1.4% from the previous month.

Regular employees of major industries were as follows:decreased by 1.6% in Manufacturing, decreased by 0.7% in Wholesale and Retail Trade, Eating and Drinking Places, and increased by 1.6% in Services.
