Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in January 2000 were 305,282 yen increased by 1.4% compared with a year earlier .TBL-1 TBL-T-1
Contractual cash earnings were 280,204 yen increased by 0.9% and scheduled cash earnings were 262,293 yen increased by 0.8%.
Real wage index was increased by 2.5%.

Scheduled hours worked were 132.0 hours increased by 0.2%.
Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 11.9 hours increased by 12.2% and its seasonally adjusted figure was increased by 2.8% from the previous month.

Regular employees of major industries were as follows:decreased by 2.0% in Manufacturing, decreased by 1.4% in Wholesale and Retail Trade, Eating and Drinking Places, and increased by 2.0% in Services.
