Digest of Summary Report

Natality

For the first child, the percentage of mothers who were employed at the time of giving birth was 62.9%, which was 17.1 points increase from 45.8% in the previous survey (FY 2015).

General mortality

The proportion of deaths by major cause of death by sex shows that malignant neoplasms was account for the largest proportion of deaths for both employed and non-employed persons, with 37.2% for employed men and 38.4% for employed women.

Marriages

The percentage of both spouses who are employed is 80.1%, which was 6.3 points increase from 73.8% in the previous survey (FY 2015).

Divorces

The percentage of divorced women who are employed is 70.6%, which was 7.0 points increase from 63.6% in the previous survey (FY 2015).
