II. Numbers of survivors at specified ages and the median lengths of life

In the abridged life tables for 2000, the number of survivors at age 65 is 84,643 for males and 92,576 for fBales in a stationary population supported by 100,000 annual live births. These facts lead that the survival ratio until age 65 is 84.6% for males and 92.6% for fBales. In the same way, it follows that the survival ratio until age 80 is 52.2% for males and 74.4% for fBales.

The median length of life, which means the age of exactly half the cohort still rBaining alive, is 80.66 years for males and 87.39 years for fBales.
