1 Cash Earnings

Average monthly total cash earnings per regular employee in November 2007 were 289,466 yen decreased by 0.2% compared with a year earlier.

Contractual cash earnings were 271,592 yen increased by 0.4% and scheduled cash earnings were 251,135 yen increased by 0.4%.

Real wage index was decreased by 0.8%.

2 Hours Worked

Average monthly total hours worked per regular employee in November 2007 were 156.5 hours increased by 1.8% compared with a year earlier.

Non-scheduled hours worked in Manufacturing were 17.4 hours decreased by 0.5% and its seasonally adjusted figure was increased by 0.6%.

3 Employment

Regular employees in November 2007 were increased by 2.2% compared with a year earlier, full-time employees were increased by 1.7%, part-time employees were increased by 3.2%.
